There seems to be this misconception that if you don’t have a significant other you can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day and that Valentine’s Day has to be miserable if you’re single.
Lies.
Today, we are going to discuss how we can have an AMAZING Valentine’s Day, even if we are single.

My name is Lauren and I’m 23 years old from South Africa. I am currently employed as a banker and financial advisor. I asked the married women who are a part of The Peony Project, “If you could give a single Christian sister any advice about her single years, what would it be?” and was blown away by their responses. More than 25 women responded with great tidbits for us. Since so many women responded, I must warn you now. This is not a good post for skimming. At various times in my life I tried to use a prayer journal. I would either write out my prayers like letters to God or I would make bullet lists of people/ situations for which to pray. Neither of these methods worked for very long. I realized back in September that I needed a prayer journal that I could be creative with. One that wouldn’t look the same on every page. One that I could record what I was learning… Read more »

The following is a guest post by Naomi of www.127living.com My dream of adopting began long before I met my husband. I clearly remember the moment I realized adoption was in my future. I had just finished Louisa May Alcott’s book, Little Men. In it, the main character, Jo, runs a home for boys. The picture painted of an estate overrun with rambunctious boys in need of a momma to love them, pulled my heart. It was then I knew… Read more »

When I was eleven I attended a “6th grade retreat” which was put on by my small private school. There were four other sixth graders in my cabin, and we had two counselors who were both seniors in high school. On the very first night of the retreat, our counselors gave us cute composition books to use as a journal or notebook during our time at the retreat. Since that moment, journaling has become a very dear habit of mine,… Read more »
