At various times in my life I tried to use a prayer journal. I would either write out my prayers like letters to God or I would make bullet lists of people/ situations for which to pray. Neither of these methods worked for very long. I realized back in September that I needed a prayer journal that I could be creative with. One that wouldn’t look the same on every page. When I was eleven I attended a “6th grade retreat” which was put on by my small private school. There were four other sixth graders in my cabin, and we had two counselors who were both seniors in high school. Sometimes as singles we like to exaggerate our situation in our heads, thinking things like “EVERYONE is dating but me!!” even if we know that isn’t true.
