Hey! My name is Kristen. I am 25 years old. I’m getting ready to go back to college to obtain a law degree, but for the mean time I am a medical secretary. I enjoy the simple things in life! Being with my family and my church are my favorite was to spend my free time.
What’s your singleness story?
My last serious relationship was about 4 years ago. My boyfriend at the time ended up being a totally different person than I thought he was and ever since we broke up I’ve been really cautious with my heart.
I’ve learned to place my future relationship in the hands of God. My prayer is that when the right person comes along I’ll know without a doubt and so will he!
I’ve also learned the importance of searching for a man after God’s heart (and being a woman after God’s heart too).
What’s the best thing about being single?
The best thing about being single is having time to discover myself and building my faith in God and His timing. I used to struggle with my faith, and in this time God has helped me to grow. I’ve also made huge career changes, and moved to a new state.
What’s your biggest struggle when it comes to singleness?
My fear of never having a family of my own I’d say is the biggest struggle.
I’m 25 years old; the majority of people my age are already 
married or engaged. Most of them have children. The thing I want most right now is to get married and start a family. Sometimes trusting God when His answer is “wait” is really hard.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give your fellow singles?
Don’t settle! My dad left when I was young and my mom raised me to know that I never need a man to complete me. I can be happy alone.
Put your trust in God, spend lots of time praying and be willing to let go when He shuts the door of relationships that are not good for you. Don’t let being lonely trick you into settling for someone who doesn’t see your true value.
