Today I want to chat about an amazing product that has helped my periods tremendously! Keep reading for a review of Semaine! Over the past five years, I’ve been on a journey to find natural ways to relieve period cramps. I’ve discovered certain essential oils help me. I’ve started drinking raspberry leaf tea. But even still, sometimes I still need to take a pill. I don’t really like depending on Midol or Tylenol to get me through my cramps because… Read more »

When I was fourteen, I learned that some types of hormonal birth control might cause abortions. I shared this new information with my best friend. She told me that that’s one of the reasons that she wanted to use NFP when she got married. “That’s what my parents do,” she said. My best friend is Catholic and I’m so grateful for her introducing me to NFP from such a young age. Later on, in high school, I started having bad… Read more »

I want to shout this from the rooftops! When I was first researching Natural Family Planning and Fertility Awareness Methods as a 21-year-old single, 99% of all blog posts I read were either targeted at married couples or newly engaged couples. And I didn’t fit into either of those categories. Because of that, I wasn’t sure if I should start charting or wait until I got engaged someday. As I read article upon article, I somehow learned about the book… Read more »

Over on Instagram, I’ve been posting a lot about charting. If you get my email newsletters, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been talking about charting a lot there too. But what even is charting? Is it creating bar graphs of your family member’s favorite ice cream flavors like you had to do in 2nd grade? Lol, no! When I say “charting” I mean charting your cycle. But what does THAT mean? What Is Cycle Charting? Cycle charting is so much… Read more »

In February, Texas experienced a once-in-a-century snowstorm. You probably heard about it on the news because our wind turbines froze and it was cloudy so the solar energy panels couldn’t work and so the whole state was in an energy crisis for about a week. Typically we get snow or ice maybe once a year where I live in central Texas. Maybe. This year it snowed twice. The first time was in January and it was so fun and happy…. Read more »

Today I’m reflecting on our wedding! I’m sharing all the details of what I loved and what I regretted. You’ll also get to see some pictures and watch our wedding video :) In this coffee date, you’ll hear how we planned our wedding in three months. I’ve been charting my cycle since 2017 and over the past four years, I’ve found so many benefits to this practice! Before I explain why I love charting, let me state what charting is not. Charting is NOT putting your period start date into an app and letting it predict when your next period will be. When I bought my first iPhone when I was a freshman in college, I downloaded a random period app that would predict when my… Read more »

I love using colors in my Bible! And Bible highlighting is such a great way to do that! When I first started reading my Bible on my own back in elementary school, I highlighted every passage I read. Seriously. My Precious Moments Bible had pages upon pages of neon yellow words, simply because my little 8-year-old brain thought you were supposed to highlight what you read. I have since learned that highlighting every sentence isn’t the best Bible highlighting method…. Read more »

Caleb and I are only having a three-month engagement. Crazy, right? A few of you have reached out and asked why we chose to have such a short engagement, and today I thought I’d tell you that story :)     Why We’re Having a Three-Month Engagement… In November 2019, my apartment complex put a notice on the door of my roommate and my apartment that our lease was going to be up in January and if we were going… Read more »
