Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you’re having a wonderful day with family and friends!Today is relaxing for my family. (Saturday we’re going to my Grandparents’ for Thanksgiving with our extended family.)

We woke up and watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, while eating our traditional Thanksgiving morning oatmeal.

Then, we started to watch Miracle on 34th Street.

Later today, we’re going to have a Thanksgiving meal, just the four of us. Every year at Thanksgiving, my mom places five kernels of corn on our plates to represent how little food the pilgrims had during their first winter in America. Each of us takes a turn to list five things we are thankful for, one for each kernel of corn.

After that, we’ll bake Thanksgiving cookies, shaped like turkeys and leaves, and then decorate them.

This evening, we’re going to decorate our Christmas tree. I’m really excited. Every year we decorate it while watching White Christmas.

Hopefully, we’ll also watch the 1999 version of Annie tonight. I absolutely adore that movie and it’s soundtrack.

That’s all of our Thanksgiving day plans! [Well, tonight Mom and Ky might go Black Friday shopping, but I shall be dutifully studying (read: hiding from the crazy crowds).]

I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving and a great rest of the week!!!

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the LORD, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
