Today I’m reflecting on our wedding! I’m sharing all the details of what I loved and what I regretted. You’ll also get to see some pictures and watch our wedding video :) In this coffee date, you’ll hear how we planned our wedding in three months. I’ve written a few posts on this topic too: How We Planned Our Wedding In One Month and Why We Chose A Three-Month Engagement. I also share with you what vendors we went with… Read more »

Caleb and I are only having a three-month engagement. Crazy, right? A few of you have reached out and asked why we chose to have such a short engagement, and today I thought I’d tell you that story :)     Why We’re Having a Three-Month Engagement… In November 2019, my apartment complex put a notice on the door of my roommate and my apartment that our lease was going to be up in January and if we were going… Read more »

Caleb and I got engaged on October 24th :)  I knew it was coming soon because we had bought a ring together about a month before he proposed. Today I want to write about our ring shopping experience. In July 2019, I asked Caleb not to propose until he was 100% positive I would say yes. I didn’t want to not feel ready for engagement and have to tell him no. He agreed and said we could go ring shopping… Read more »

Caleb asked me to marry him on October 24th and our wedding date is January 22nd. As of today (November 30th), we have basically finished our wedding planning. We have a few more tasks to do (I’ll mention those later), but today I wanted to outline how we planned our wedding in one month- because the planning is done. This post includes affiliate links. You can see my disclosure page here; thanks for your support! Quick backstory- Caleb and I started looking… Read more »

Eek! Where to even begin?? If you’re new around here, start off by reading about how Caleb and I didn’t date. Then read the post “So There’s This Guy” to find out how he asked me to be his girlfriend. And if you REALLY want to get personal, go read the post “Transitioning from Singleness to Dating” to read a series of journals from when we first started dating LOL! Okay, so now that we have the backstory out of… Read more »

Guess what?? My best friend is getting married in a week! Yay!!! 🥳 🥳 🥳 It blows my mind that we are old enough to get married. It was just yesterday that we were playing “pretend wedding!” and now she’s getting married in real life! In April 2016, my first college roommate got engaged. The day after her boyfriend proposed, she woke up super cheerful and peppy, as I’m sure you can imagine. :) When I returned to our apartment after my 8 am class that morning, she hugged me and squealed, “I’m engaged! I’m ENGAGED! He and I are getting married!!” I loved watching my friend be on cloud nine throughout her engagement and especially as she and her husband said “I do” a… Read more »

YOU GUYS MY BESTEST BEST FRIEND IS ENGAGED!!! I cannot believe it and am experiencing so many conflicting emotions. All of which I’ll probably record later in a blog post… because that’s how I roll lol! The second my BFF texted me that she and her man were looking at rings, I freaked out and cried because it hit me that this marks the end of an era. The next day, I got super excited and started looking for engagement… Read more »

Typically I hate the part of wedding receptions when the bride tosses the bouquet. I find it awkward and uncomfortable. When I was single, it was a reminder that I didn’t have a boyfriend. Once I started dating, the thought of catching it made me dread the “When are y’all getting married?” questions that would soon follow. But last summer, I unexpectedly felt something different. During the wedding reception of my boyfriend’s brother’s wedding, I found myself wanting to catch the bouquet for… Read more »

I found out in July that I would be student teaching at the same school my mom works at. The day I found out, I made the mistake of declaring in front of the pre-teen girls I nanny for, “It might be confusing having two teachers with the same last name at one school. I need to get married soon so I’ll have a new last name.” To which the eldest girl gasped, clasped her hands together and squealed! “What’s… Read more »
