Ah, Valentine’s Day! That lovely day filled with hearts and candy and pink ribbon. I absolutely love everything about Valentine’s Day! It makes me so happy!

If you’ve been around here for a while, you probably know Valentine’s Day is one of my most favorite holidays ever. So, I become quite excited after the New Year’s excitement dies down and cute red and pink themed decorations pop up around Walmart.

However, I know well enough that not everyone shares my love for this holiday.

Facing Valentine’s Day as a single girl can be difficult. Knowing that you’re going to be alone on the holiday can be bleak.

But why? Why face it alone?

Just because there isn’t a guy in your life doesn’t mean you can’t have an AMAZING Valentine’s Day. And it doesn’t mean that you have to endure Valentine’s Day alone. There are plenty of ways you can hang out with others during this special day.

In fact, here are a few ways to survive Valentine’s Day as a single girl:

Three Ways to Have an

1. Go Out To Eat With Your Friends

Get all dressed up and fancy, and then have a girls’ night out! Splurge at a nice restaurant. Enjoy hanging out with your friends.

Sure, it doesn’t have to be a nice place. You could eat at a McDonald’s even. I just think that making the night a special girl’s night out by everyone dressing up and doing their hair makes it that much more fun! I don’t know, maybe I’m weird, but I really like getting all dressed up.

But anywho, it doesn’t have to be an expensive fancy restaurant. Y’all could even just pick someone’s house and eat there. Or just go to a coffee shop. Or go get ice cream! The possibilities are endless.

The important thing is that you enjoy time with your friends and that you show them that you love them and tell them you love them too.

2. Give Your Friends’ Valentine’s Day Gifts

Remember those little Valentine’s cards we used to give out to all our friends in elementary school? Why did we stop doing that as we got older?

Giving your friends’ a small Valentine’s Day gift or writing them a card and mailing it to them is a great way to enjoy Valentine’s Day as a single girl.

The gift doesn’t have to be anything extravagant. It can be something as simple as a package of Wonka’s Fun-Dip (Seriously, that stuff is amazing!) or a small, dollar store teddy bear. Just something simple that says “I’m glad we’re friends!”

And as an added plus, buying a friend a special Valentine’s Day treat that helps get your focus off of yourself and onto someone else. So if you’re struggling with the mental aspect of wondering why you’re alone this Valentine’s Day, buying someone else a gift helps you get your mind off of being without a boyfriend and helps you remember that you’re not really alone.

3. Have A Spa Night

With this you have options- you could either invite some friends over and have a spa night together, or you could just chill by yourself and have a solo spa night if you like solo-adventures.

A relaxing spa night in the middle of a busy week sounds awesome! There are several ways you could do this- you could give yourself a pedicure or go out to get one. You can do a face mask. You could stick your feet in hot water and relax. Maybe even stick cucumbers on your eyes.

Regardless of if you have a spa night by yourself or with your friends, this is definitely a great way to spend your Valentine’s Day as a single girl.

So there are a few of my ideas of how to make your Valentine’s Day awesome! :)
