The following are some of my favorite quotes (twelve of them, in fact, because today is November twelfth). Enjoy and be inspired :)

God is most glorified in me when I am most satisfied in him.
-John Piper

You don’t loose friends, because real friends can never be lost. You lose people masquerading as friends, and you’re better for it.
-Mandy Hale

Is it weird to anybody else that we equate worshiping God with music? As if worship is something you can turn on and off like a switch? Worship to God isn’t something that you “go to.” It’s something you “are.” Scheduling “worship time” from 9:00 to 9:30 makes about as much sense as scheduling time for breathing.
Blimey Cow

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.
“So do I,” said Gandalf, “And so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decided is what to do with the time that is given us.”
J. R. R. Tolkien The Fellowship of the Ring

God cannot give us happiness and peace apart from himself because it is not there. There is no such thing.
-C. S. Lewis

Why do bad things happen to good people? That only happened once, and he volunteered.
-R. C. Sproul, Jr.

Why worry? If you’ve done the very best you can, worrying won’t make it any better.
Walt Disney

I find the whole concept of being “sexy” embarrassing and confusing. If I do an interview with photographs people desperately want to change me- dye my hair blonder, pluck my eyebrows, give me a fringe. Then there’s the choice of clothes. I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. But that’s not me. I feel uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt. It’s nothing to do with protecting the Hermione image. I wouldn’t do that. Personally, I don’t actually think it’s even that sexy. What’s sexy about saying, “I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt, have a look at everything I’ve got?” My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder.
-Emma Watson

It simply isn’t an adventure worth telling if there aren’t any dragons.
J. R. R. Tolkin

When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.
-Corrie Ten Boom

Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe int he casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.
-C. S. Lewis

Fairy tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.
G. K. Chesterton
